Use a different cable (even if ok) and a different USB port. Also, download the file Helix LT Flash Memory 3.10. Download/reinstall HX Edit 3.10 (automatically isntalls Line 6 Updater and driver):ģ. Deinstall Line 6 Updater, driver and HX EditĢ. Have you tried a different USB cable and/or port? The fact that they work for a different interface is really irrelevant.ġ. Wrong timing for an update to mangle my Helix. Anyone got any suggestions? Is there anything else I might try? I’d greatly appreciate anything you guys can come up with!īest of all I FINALLY have a gig coming up on Sunday and first band practice in half a year because where I live, we weren’t allowed to do this kind of thing this whole time. Suffice to say I’m kinda mad at Line 6 that this kind of thing can even happen. By the way: The USB cable and port I’m using work just fine on another audio interface I have. I tried installing HX Edit (along with drivers and Line 6 Updater of course) both in versions 3.01 as well as 3.10 and I’m STUCK. I’ve tried deinstalling the Helix in the device manager and deinstalling any and all Line 6 software from my computer multiple times, but to no avail. I encountered this problem while trying to update from version 3.01 to 3.1 but the suggestions above don’t work for me. If it still does not work use annother computer for the update) (.don't use a USB-HUB, try annother USB-port Update now?” Press Knob 6 (OK) to update Helix Control. Helix Rack reads “Helix Control must be updated to work If you have Helix Rack/Control, turn on Helix Control. When finished, Helix restarts automatically and begins rebuilding your presets. As wholly expected, because we warned you… because you always read the instructions… halfway through the update process, Line 6 Updater displays a second dialog and Helix’s LCD reads “Boot Failure. Think “Hmm, maybe I should’ve backed up first? Nah, I insist on subverting the dominant paradigm,” and click “OK.” Helix begins updating. Click the big green box and then click “Update” next to Version: 2.80.Ĭarefully read the instructions (HEY! DID YOU BACK UP FIRST?), click “Continue,” and then “Accept.” A warning dialog appears, telling you that Helix will be reset twice. The latest version was automatically installed when you installed HX Edit 2.80 in “STEP 2 Updating HX Edit to 2.80” above.Įnter your Line 6 Username and Password and click “Sign In.” A big green box appears with a picture of your Helix product. Also, shut down all Line 6 software or any programs that use audio, like DAWs, iTunes, Spotify, video games, etc.Ĭonnect Helix to a Mac or PC via USB (do not use any sort of USB hub) and turn it on. If you have Helix Rack / Control, turn off Helix Control. Reinstall HX Edit (2.82) - When you get to the options section of the install, leave them all checked.(step1)įollow the Update instructions from line6 and start the Helix in Update mode in step 2(ENC1&6 for the rack): Turn off the Helix Control/Rack and close all line6/audio software. I think the Powerbeats we're stuck in firmware update mode because I didn't plug the case into a power source before starting the update.Īt that point I plugged the case in, went into the Beats app and updated the firmware.I have the same issue : my Helix rack got stuck forevever in screen "Boot Failure. I decided to do the firmware update at this point because I like torturing myself.Īfter reading around I think my initial mistake was that I didn't plug the case in before doing the update. It went into the white light that breathes, or Blinks on and off. It didn't go back into the solid white, then off that it was doing after trying to do the firmware update. I held the case button down until it started blinking red/white reset. I only charged it up until the case light turned white when I open the case, meaning the headphones are charged. The next morning I opened the case and it wasn't blinking so I put the headphones in and started charging it up. So I took the headphones out and left the case in my car since it was freezing cold out, which causes lithium ion batteries to stop working. I still wanted to get the case to stop blinking since I'd already put in all this effort into draining it. The next time I tried charging the headphones again the case was blinking red, meaning the case was drained. Then I charged the headphones again and drained them two more times. Then I took the headphones out of the case and let them drain for the day. The focus was to drain the case battery, since the case seems to be what pairs the Beats to the phone.įirst thing I did was charge the headphones. I fixed mine by draining the power from everything.
